Mentorship is environment design
In REALM, mentors are not motivational speakers.
They are environment builders who create clarity, consistency, and follow-through.
Mentor responsibilities in REALM
Mentors guide youth through three core responsibilities:
- define the cohort structure
- monitor momentum and phase progression
- intervene early with encouragement
What this produces
Strong mentorship reduces drift and restores trust.
When youth see stable standards, they borrow structure until it becomes their own.
